1. How long have you known the nominee and how did you come to know him or her?

Five years. She spoke with me at one of my art shows in chelsea and invited me to show my work at the library.

2.  Please list a few ways in which the nominee has helped you and others and made your experience of the library a positive one.

She inspired me to spend countless hours with the wonderful books at the art collection as well as the picture library. She also exposed me to the lectures and art shows on the 6th floor which were most stimulating.

3. How has the library, and the nominee, improved the quality of your life?

Sending me announcements for the free outstanding lectures and panel discussions was rewarding and I'm thankful.

4. How does the nominee make the library a better place? Please be specific.

She schedules art shows, lectures and panel discussions which are first rate. This really is a service to the community.

5. How has the librarian made a difference in the community?

Having the opportunity to attend the art shows, lectures and panels with artists is a special honor. This is a great opportunity for the New York Community.
